Greener than gas or oil

Cheaper than electric boilers

Easy to install, use & maintain

How much does the ZEB cost?

A ZEB costs £6,000 to purchase and because we don’t think you should pay VAT on heat batteries, we’re offering to cover your VAT on the ZEB and installation until the government does by giving you up to £2,000 cashback.*

Homeowners can take advantage of this cashback offer by contacting sales@tepeo.com or by completing our ZEB Home Check. The offer is also available through our tepeoPRO installer network, find your nearest installer here.

To make this a permanent change, write to your MP using the instructions here, requesting that the ZEB benefits from VAT relief and subsidies.

The calculator and the output data provided do not constitute advice, including on tariff or energy supplier selection, and are for illustrative purposes only.

The output data is based on information you provided with approximation and several assumptions for calculation purposes, which can be found in the tooltips. tepeo does not take responsibility if your ZEB’s running costs do not match this prediction.

The future is green

The government is committed to transitioning to a net zero electricity grid by 2030. As more electricity is generated from renewable sources (wind, solar etc.) rather than gas in the future, electricity prices are expected to come down, making it a cheaper alternative long-term.

There have been massive price changes in gas, LPG, oil, and electricity in recent years, which is why we update our cost assumptions in our calculator regularly so it’s the most up to date information.

How clean is my energy usage?

Electricity is much cleaner than gas but is still generated from a range of sources, such as wind, solar, nuclear, and gas power stations. You can see how clean the UK’s electricity is in the widget on the left.

As more renewable sources (wind, solar etc.) become available to generate electricity, it will become much cleaner. Flexible energy storage technologies like the ZEB help to speed up the transition to a renewable grid, by storing excess renewable generation when it’s available and avoiding using electricity at peak times which tend to have a higher carbon intensity.
